DIY STEAK ON A BUN
Comrades and friends,
I had favourable comments on my DIY Hot Hamburg last week, so here we go again.
Many of us are disappointed that we couldn't enjoy the Tuesday Special at the Branch today.
While few of us have the skill necessary to prepare this treat as well as Chef Paul, at least Paul has consented to letting me share his recipé -
First, I use 5-6 6 oz tenderloin, tenderized, steaks. I marinate them in virgin olive oil, and spice them up with Montreal steak spice and seasoning salt. Let them marinate for two days covered in the fridge.
Then I do fried onions with mushrooms just with a little pepper and seasoning salt. Cook steak medium to well done. Serve them on a toasted ciabatta bun.
Remember, do not make a special trip just to pick up a steak, but if you happen to have one in your freezer, enjoy!
