SUPER BOWL CHILI RECIPE

Well Comrades and friends,

The Super Bowl is Sunday Feb 7^th, and we’re all asked to stay home.
We can’t open the Branch, it would be illegal.
We don’t have an online gaming licence, so we can’t have a pool.

So what can we do at home game night?

EAT!

Many of you will recall when then President Jim Ashton would spend the day preparing the best chili you could get anywhere.

Comrade Rae Anne was kind enough to go into her archives for Jim’s recipé -

• 12 lb hamburger
•   3 100 oz tins kidney beams
•   1  48 oz tin tomato soup
•   1  100 oz tin mushrooms
•   2   100 oz tins tomatoes
•   onions, chili powder, salt and pepper

The last line of this recipé is where Jim's skill as a chili-maker came into play. Amounts are simply "to taste". But you now have the list of ingredients, the chili-making skill is up to you.

EDIT: Rae noted this recipé makes three large pots. Jim would add a couple cans of Beefaroni to each pot, and varying degrees of hot pepper juice.

Why not make a batch at home, raise a glass to Jim, and enjoy.

IMPORTANT: The posting of this large batch recipé is not meant as a suggestion that you should have a huge Super Bowl Party! That would be illegal, and stupid.
Enjoy it with your own household during and after the game, and maybe Monday and Tuesday too.
